Welcome to the Botwell, West Drayton and Yiewsley wards’ Community First homepage.

It is now the final year of Community First funding. All the allocation for West Drayton has been used but there is still some funding available for projects in Botwell and Yiewsley. If you are considering applying please note that the project will have to be delivered and the grant spent by February 2015.

Your project could be for new equipment for a club or community building, or help contribute to a community event in the Autumn or at Christmas.

Community First is an £80m government funded initiative that will run until March 2015.
Under the initiative, Botwell, West Drayton and Yiewsley wards have each been awarded £33,910 over four years.
Community First Panels comprising of members from each of the wards, will assess and recommend funding for both new and existing community groups.

To date £92,605 has been awarded for projects and organisations listed below across the three wards.

£ 2,403 awarded to Hayes End Community Centre Management Committee – for the running of activities and sessions at Hayes End Community Centre.

£1,931 awarded to The Friends of Lake Farm Country Park – for the Lake Farm Community Engagement Programme.

£1,200 Hillingdon Play Association – for running the Town Centre Urban Play Day.

£2,500 awarded to West London YMCA  – for Hayes Young People’s Work Club

£2,500 awarded to the 9th Hayes Scout & Guide Group – for flooring to the scout hut’s main hall

£980 awarded to Hayes Hawks BMXfor refurbishment of the BMX track
